
Richard Holinger has taught English at Marmion Academy, Aurora, IL, for over thirty years. His poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and book reviews have appeared in over a hundred literary journals, including The Southern Review, The Iowa Review, Boulevard, ACM, Witness, North American Review, Other Voices, and The Texas Review. Honors include a Short Term Artist’s Residency and a poetry fellowship from the Illinois Arts Council, and three Pushcart Prize nominations. Since 2000, he has written a column for his local Tri-city newspaper. He facilitates The St. Charles Writers Group, sponsored by the St. Charles Library, and Night Writers, sponsored by the Geneva Library. Degrees include a B.A. from Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY, an M.A. in English from Washington University and a Ph.D. in English with a specialty in Creative Writing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He lives in Geneva with his wife and two children.
